Comedy Sketch: Option 1 for Romance

Comedy Sketch About Speed Dating

“Press Option 1 for Romance…”

I was writing with a guy for a short while on a project which revolved around speed dating. We weren’t collaborating; we were two writers working independently to create enough material to show off at the Soho Theatre.

Comedy Writer Redux

Anyway for reasons I forget the project never took off but I wrote a few sketches I like. It does your heart good, as a comedy writer, to go back to stuff you wrote and find it still works and of course you want to rewrite it. But most of all you want to see it performed, see what the performers can get out of it and rewrite with the aim of getting the audience to laugh themselves off their seats.

Let me know what you think and if you’re interested in using any of my work drop me a line.
