‘For the Tape’ was created as a TV sketch but it could be performed live. It’s a homage to a very scary thing, the police interview, tea ladies and the doughnut.
This script was written for the Sitcom Mission a competition setting out to discover new comedy writers. Simon and Declan are committed producers fed up with the amount of pissy-poor-sit-com-going-through-the-motions on TV. They set out to change that.
We love the turn of phrase describing why someone is not quite all there. It’s derogatory but done between friends there’s no harm.
